OIC Singh-Vergeire Graces Launching of the 153rd Malasakit Center at the OFW Hospital in Pampanga

Department of Health Officer-in-Charge Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire today attended the launching of the 153rd Malasakit Center located at the OFW Hospital in San Fernando, Pampanga.

The newly-launched Malasakit Center will afford OFWs the convenience of a one-stop-shop facility that will respond to their needs in terms of PhilHealth, DSWD, PCSO, and DOH services. Migrant workers are welcome and encouraged to avail services.

“We consider this a critical milestone, as it not only means another opportunity to improve access, but equally worth celebrating is the fact that this is the first center that will cater specifically to our countrymen who we consider our modern day heroes–our Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs)–as this center is strategically located in our newly-created OFW Hospital.”, said OIC Vergeire.

Through this newly launched Malasakit Center, comprehensive and total health care services to all migrant workers including Overseas Workers Welfare Administration contributors, whether active or non-active and their qualified legal dependents will be provided. This will aslo serve as a primary referral hospital for repatriated OFWs in need of medical services and assistance.

Let us unite under the banner of UHC, to realize our goal of a Philippines where quality healthcare is affordable to all.” added the Health OIC.
