The Department of Transportation (DOTr), in coordination with the DILG 10, calls for nominees from the local government units (LGUs) in Region 10 for the “National Bike Day” Bike Lane Awards 2022.
Pursuant to the DILG MC No. 2022-113, the awarding aims to promote road safety for all road users and to recognize the LGUs in their efforts and practices regarding active transport. It also aims to adhere to the strict and effective implementation of the Presidential directive on road clearing of illegal obstruction as cycling lanes.
The awarding is open to all LGUs with existing or ongoing bike lane construction. Qualifying LGUs for the national level will receive an award which will commence on November 27, 2022, in line with the celebration of National Bike Day.
