NCRPO Welcomes PMGen Okubo as New Regional Director

Philippine National Police Chief, Police General Rodolfo S Azurin Jr formally installed Police Major General Edgar Alan O Okubo as Regional Director of the National Capital Region Police Office.

In a traditional change of command ceremony, Chief PNP Azurin led the formal transfer of responsibility from outgoing NCRPO Chief Police Major General Jonnel S Estomo to incoming Regional Director Police Major General Edgar Alan Okubo.

During the ceremony, Chief PNP thanked the outgoing NCRPO Chief for his dedicated service and significant contributions to the PNP. He also expressed confidence in the incoming NCRPO Chief and called on him to continue to uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and service.

Incoming NCRPO Chief Police Major General Okubo expressed his gratitude to the Chief PNP for entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the NCRPO, the PNP’s largest and most complex regional office. PMGen Okubo pledged to build on the achievements of his predecessor and to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of the people of Metro Manila.

“I have full confidence in your capability and leadership skills. You are taking the helm of an organization that is committed to the highest standards of professionalism, and I know that you will continue to uphold these values as you lead the NCRPO”, PGen Azurin expressed.

The NCRPO, under the leadership of the outgoing Chief, has made significant strides in reducing crime, maintaining peace and order, and strengthening community partnerships through his S.A.F.E initiative or Seen, Appreciated, and Felt by the people through Extraordinary actions.

The incoming NCRPO Chief is expected to continue this positive momentum and address the evolving security challenges facing the region.

“As we move forward, I urge all officers and men of the NCRPO to continue to work together with your new Regional Director, to uphold the law, and to protect the people in the National Capital Region. The challenges we face are not small, but with our collective efforts and hard work, we can make a significant impact on the lives of our fellow Filipinos”, CPNP Azurin added.

The Turnover of Command Ceremony was attended by senior PNP officials, local government leaders, community representatives, and other stakeholders.
