Kaamulan Festival 2023 Culminates with Three Highlight Competitions

The streets of Pine Hills in Malaybalay City are packed with cheering locals and visitors raring for a glimpse of the spectacular street dancing competition, float parade, and indigenous performances on Saturday, April 22, as part of the Kaamulan Festival’s glorious return in 2023.

The large crowd then headed to the Capitol Grounds, still buzzing with excitement for the Ground Presentation of the three strong contingents — Malaybalay City, Municipality of Kalilangan, and Valencia City.

The celebration was also graced by the following esteemed guests: Vice President Sara Duterte, Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri, and DOT Undersecretary Myra Paz Valderrosa-Abubakar.

Valencia City emerged victorious in the Float Parade Category. Malaybalay City reigned supreme in the Street Dancing Competition, and the Municipality of Kalilangan prevailed in the Ground Presentation.

This grand spectacle in honor of the seven tribes who thrived in the breathtaking Bukidnon highlands truly provided an incredible cultural treat for those in attendance.
