Police Seize P1.1 Million Worth of Shabu from High-Value Target in Batangas City

In a recent operation in Batangas City, police confiscated over P1.1 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) from a suspected big-time drug trafficker. The suspect, known as “Angelita,” was apprehended by Batangas provincial police drug enforcement unit members and local cops following a buy-bust operation.

The arrest occurred at 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, in Barangay Alangilan. Angelita had sold shabu worth P300,000 to an undercover officer. Upon her arrest, law enforcement officers recovered a paper bag containing four sachets of shabu weighing 175 grams, with a street value of approximately P1,190,000 according to Dangerous Drugs Board estimates.

In addition to the drugs, police also seized the suspect’s mobile phone for further examination to trace any drug-related transactions. Authorities are now focused on identifying the source of the shabu distributed by Angelita, who was classified as a “high-value” target in the ongoing campaign against illegal drugs.

Angelita is currently in police custody and is facing anti-drug charges as the investigation continues.
