Heavy Rains Dampen Christmas Cheer in Northern Mindanao

Hundreds of people in Northern Mindanao marked Christmas on Sunday without homes, adequate food, and water, electricity or cellphone connections after a downpour of heavy torrential rain. As a result of the shear line, several areas in the Visayas and Mindanao were bracing for floods and landslides on Christmas.

The people of Northern Mindanao were relieved that many Filipinos could celebrate Christmas in greater safety after the COVID-19 cases were dropped, but we pleaded, “Please don’t forget us.” Please pray for the people of Northern Mindanao, particularly Misamis Occidental and Misamis Oriental.
