Groundbreaking of the Palayan City Township Housing Project under the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Program

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the groundbreaking of the Palayan City Township Housing Project under the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Program, his Administration’s flagship housing project for six (6) million Filipinos, in a ceremonial program at Nueva Ecija on December 21, 2022.

When finished, the community township will give rise to 44 towers that can accommodate 11,000 housing units.

The Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Program, according to the President, is designed not just to build houses but communities where service facilities, infrastructures, amenities as well as business opportunities are in proximity to the development sites.

Playing crucial roles in the development of the project, President Marcos Jr. hailed the efforts of the local government units (LGUs) for identifying suitable lands and selecting qualified housing beneficiaries, as well as the government financial institutions for extending financial support.

The Chief Executive vowed to continue breaking grounds for housing projects in different parts of the country in order to fulfill the Filipinos’ dream of owning an affordable, safe and comfortable home.

The Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Program is also expected to generate around 1.7 million jobs every year from 2023 to 2028.
