Former RTC judge appointed as new PCSO chair by Marcos

President Marcos has appointed retired Marikina Regional Trial Court (RTC) judge Felix Reyes as the new chairman of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO). The 63-year-old Reyes was sworn in by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on May 28, according to the Presidential Communications Office.

Replacing Junie Cua, Reyes brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously served as the president of the Philippine Judges Association. He pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Far Eastern University from 1977 to 1981, followed by a law degree from the University of the East between 1982 and 1986.

Before his current role, Reyes served as an acting member of the PCSO Board of Directors from November 2022 onwards. He has also held positions as the acting presiding judge of various RTC branches, including Taguig, Lipa City, and Calamba City over the years.
