DPWH Widens Tablang-Gabaldon Road in Laur, Nueva Ecija

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed improvement works along various sections of the Jct. Tablang-Gabaldon Road in Laur, Nueva Ecija to further ensure safer travel.

DPWH Regional Director Roseller A. Tolentino, in his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan and Undersecretary Roberto R. Bernardo, said that the DPWH Nueva Ecija Second District Engineering Office (DEO) implemented the off-carriageway improvement project costing P21.94 million.

The road improvement project included the construction of concrete road shoulder with a thickness of 230 millimeters along intermittent sections of Jct. Tablang-Gabaldon Road.

According to Director Tolentino, improving road condition along the secondary road was an important project of the DPWH Nueva Ecija DEO as it provides connection from the capital city of Palayan and the towns of Laur and Gabaldon in Nueva Ecija.

Through the newly-widened sections, road condition and carrying capacity along the Jct. Tablang-Gabaldon Road has been upgraded providing more convenient travel for both motorists and pedestrians while also contributing to the greater socio-economic improvement of the town of Laur by allowing efficient transportation of goods and services.
