DPWH To Conduct Weekend Reblocking on Several Road Sections in Metro Manila

Weekend repairs of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on selected national road sections in the cities of Manila, Quezon, Makati and Pasig will resume at 11 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2022.

DPWH National Capital Regional (NCR) Director Nomer Abel P. Canlas said that reblocking and repair will cover three (3) sections along EDSA Northbound from Santolan MRT Station, bus lane; Cubao Bus Station, 2nd lane from sidewalk; and after Aurora to Kamuning Road, 3rd lane from sidewalk (intermittent section).

Likewise, road rehabilitation activities will be undertaken along EDSA Southbound in Quezon City including in front of GMA Network Building, U-turn slot service road; Kamuning Road intersection, 1st block service road; and from Balingasa Creek to Oliveros Footbridge.

Other roads in Quezon City are: Fairview Avenue Southbound, near Mindanao Avenue Exit, 1st lane from center island; Fairview Avenue Northbound, after corner Yakal Street, 1st lane from center island; Cloverleaf Northbound, from EDSA to NLEX segment, outer lane; Quirino Highway, before Manila North Diversion Road (MNDR) Flyover, 2nd inner lane; and Roosevelt Avenue, near M.H. Del Pilar Street, outer lane.

In Manila, repair works will cover southbound outer lane of Mel Lopez Boulevard, fronting North Harbour Center Gate 2 to Vitas Bridge.
Portions of C-5 in Makati and Pasig will undergo similar activities particularly southbound 2nd lane in Makati City, service road in front of Global Oil Gas Station and truck lane (KM 15 + 171 to KM 15 + 665), both in Pasig City.

Motorists are advised to take alternate routes due to possible traffic build-up near the construction areas.

The affected road lanes will be fully passable on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 5 a.m.
