DPWH Paves 3.14-km Roads to Enhance Mobility in Tarlac City

The Department of Public Works and (DPWH) has recently completed the construction of two (2) road connectivity projects for the rural communities in Tarlac City, providing safer and more convenient travel for motorists and market access for farmers.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing reports from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, identified the completed projects as the concreting of a 1.79-kilometer section of a local road in Barangay San Juan De Mata and the improvement of a 1.35-kilometer local road in Barangay Care.

With the completion of the road projects, the road users can now have a safe and convenient travel experience while also boosting Tarlac City’s agricultural sector by providing farmers better accessibility to market centers.

The projects, which have a combined cost of P61.9 million funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act (GAA), were implemented by DPWH Tarlac 1st District Engineering Office (DEO).
