The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the rehabilitation and improvement of the Cebu North Hagnaya Wharf Road (Old Route) passing through Danao City, Cebu to improve the movement of people, goods, and services.
In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, Regional Office 7 Director Ernesto S. Gregorio Jr. said that the rehabilitated road serves as an alternate route to avoid slow traffic flow and improves the safety of the residents, properties, and the commuting public in Northern and Southern parts of Cebu.
“The project includes the construction of a drainage facilities to address the accumulation of stagnant water,” added Director Gregorio.
By reducing the risk of flooding, the completed project guarantees the safety of locals and motorists during the heaviest downpours and typhoons.
The project was implemented by DPWH Cebu 5th District Engineering Office at a total cost of ₱29.7 million.
