Dpwh Completes Flood Control Structures Along Colo River in Dinalupihan, Bataan

The completion of flood control structures along Colo River in Dinalupihan, Bataan provides better protection for communities during heavy rains.

In his report to Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino said that revetment walls with a combined length of 656.68 linear meters were constructed in three (3) adjacent sections of Colo River in Barangay San Benito, Dinalupihan, Bataan.

Director Tolentino further explained that the newly-built river walls are continuation of the existing concrete slope protection to provide better protection for residents and reduce potential damage to property caused by water overflow.

The construction of the flood control structures was implemented by the DPWH Bataan First District Engineering Office (DEO) at a cost of P82.7 million sourced from the General Appropriations Act (GAA) of 2022.
