DOTr Commended By The Office Of The President For The Excellent Performance Of Its 8888 Citizen’s Complaint Center

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) received a commendation from the Office of the President of the Philippines, Malacañang for its active response on the government’s public concerns today, 23 August 2022.

The DOTr, under the leadership of Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, is recognized for its valuable contribution in resolving various complaints addressed to the program which were filed at the 8888 Citezens’ Complaint Center (CCC).

As of July 2022, 204 citizen concerns were referred to the DOTr, where we responded and acted upon all of them, for 100% response rate.

The 8888 Citizen Complaint Center was established to serve as a mechanism where citizens may report their complaints and grievances on acts of red tape and other public service issues, as defined under Republic Act (RA) No. 9485, as amended by RA No. 11032, and/or corruption of any national government agency, government-owned or -controlled corporation, government financial institution, and other instrumentalities of the government.
