DOTr, Ayala Land Open One Ayala Edsa Busway Station

Workers in the Makati City’s business district and holiday shoppers are expected to experience hassle-free transport as Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista led the opening today, 18 November 2022, of the One Ayala Terminal that will serve as the Ayala Station for the EDSA Busway.

Secretary Bautista said the One Ayala Terminal is expected to benefit employees in Makati City during the holiday season.

“The EDSA Ayala Busway Station will benefit mall workers, employees of the Makati Central Business District, as well as holiday shoppers,” Secretary Bautista said during the bus station’s ceremonial inauguration.

Secretary Bautista led the inauguration of the One Ayala EDSA Bus Station’s bay one with its official operations starting on Saturday, 19 November 2022. In April 2023, the busway operations of the station’s three bays are set to be fully utilized.

A dedicated station that will complement the 24/7 operations of the EDSA Busway free rides in December, Secretary Bautista said the One Ayala EDSA Busway station “depicts a scalable transport infrastructure,” elevating the country’s transportation system to global standards and supporting the mobility and connectivity needs of commuters.

Secretary Bautista expressed gratitude to Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) for partnering with the government in providing the riding public with safe, affordable, comfortable, and accessible transport system.

The bus station is part of transport hub, offering three terminals that serve South-bound buses, PUVs, and modern jeepneys that can accommodate over 300,000 passengers daily, according to Ayala Land.

Each of the three bays of the One Ayala EDSA Busway station can simultaneously accommodate nine buses on queue, totaling to 27 buses. The terminal facility is also equipped with restrooms, ample queuing area, seats for PWD, senior citizens and pregnant women, and bike racks.

Passengers headed northbound will have access to the station through the McKinley-Ayala Footbridge which is directly connected to the 2nd Floor of the One Ayala Avenue (OAA).
