Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman highlighted the role of digitalization in strengthening local public financial management during the Mindanao Local League of Budget Officers (MLLBO) Annual Conference and Seminar held in Zamboanga City on November 21.
The Budget Chief shared the initiatives of the current administration to promote e-government and e-governance in the country, as well as the Department’s crucial digitalization initiatives including the Budget and Treasury Management System (BTMS).
“By investing in digital infrastructure, the government can improve its revenue collection, and ultimately promote efficiency, transparency, and accountability in the use of our public funds. We want the people to know how we actually spend their hard-earned money and strengthen their trust in the process,” Pangandaman said.
