The Department of Information and Communications Technology Region IV-A, as the lead of Emergency Telecommunications Cluster, activated the KonekTawag Center in one of the municipalities within the Polillo Group of Islands that were severely affected by the recent Typhoon Karding.
Panukulan, Quezon in the said island group was provided with free internet connectivity and charging stations which leveraged the current insufficiency or unavailability of commercial power.
Showing off the Filipino bayanihan, this activity was made possible through the help and assistance of different government offices and stakeholders.
