The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) held its monthly management committee meeting today, 10 November, at the Waterfront Airport Hotel Mactan in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.
The meeting was attended by Area Managers from the 12 CAAP Area Centers, Acting Deputy Director General for Administration Atty. Danjun Lucas, Department of Transportation (DOTr) Planning Service Director III Joel Laguerta, DOTr Assistant Secretary for Aviation and Airports Atty. Enrique Antonio Esquivel, DOTr Undersecretary for Aviation and Airports Roberto Cecilio Lim, and was presided by CAAP Acting Director General Captain Manuel Antonio Tamayo. CAAP Service Chiefs based at the CAAP Central Office in Pasay City, meanwhile, attended via video conference.
The meeting discussed several matters involving financial and administrative activities and concerns such as DOTr downloaded projects, employee claims, CAAP’s IT infrastructure and software system, and personnel movement guidelines, among others.
The meeting was also held to have DOTr Aviation and Airport Sector (DOTr, MCIAA, CAAP, GMCAC) initiatives to cross pollinate and to open exchanges of views and best practices in enriching the aviation sector and in stepping up to global standards of safe, affordable, convenient, and accessible air transport.
