BUKTRAMCO Launches 15 Modernized PUJ Units for Quezon – Malayabalay City and Vice Versa Route

The Bukidnon Transport Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BUKTRAMCO) launched 15 modernized PUJ class II, 22-seater units that will ply Quezon-Malaybalay City and V.V route today, February 23, 2023 at Capitol Grounds, Provincial Capitol, Malaybalay City.

The momentous event was graced by Office of the Transport Cooperative (OTC) Chairman, Mr. Jesus Ferdinand De Perio Ortega, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board Regional Office 10 (LTFRB-RFRO 10) director, Regional Director Aminoden D. Guro, Municipality of Quezon Vice Mayor, Hon. Joseph Durutan, Development Bank of the Philippines (DPB) Senior Vice President and Group Head for Northern Mindanao, Mr. Seño S. Clarisma and BUKTRAMCO Chairman, Mr. Melvin Erederos.

Also present during the event were Executive Assistant for the Office of the Governor of Bukidnon Province, Atty. Romuel Roque, Executive Assistant for the Office of the Mayor of Valencia City, Mr. Marven Selecios, LTFRB 10 team headed by LTFRB 10 Financial Analyst, Ms. Marianne C. Ulep, and representatives from various TSEs in region 10.

The event ended with a ribbon cutting ceremony and a press conference wherein queries from different transport sectors from the province were answered by OTC Chairman Ortega and LTFRB 10 director, RD Guro.

The launching was in lined with the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program which aims to provide a more comfortable and safer public land transport experience while ensuring decent livelihoods to drivers and operators.

With more transport entities modernizing in this province, the aim of the program to reduce reliance on private vehicle and move toward environmentally-sound mobility solutions, and to ensure to prioritize the movement of goods and people rather than vehicles will be realized.
