Baguio Goes Electric, Commuters to Enjoy Free Rides During COMET’s Launch

With support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Department of Transportation (DOTr) project on low carbon emission transportation, the City Government of Baguio launches a mobility test run for COMET electric mini-bus manufactured and owned by the Global Electric Transport (GET) from November 20 – December 3, 2022.

The COMET uses a Lithium Ferrophosphate battery with rated energy of 53.47kWh. Its PMSM motor has a torque of 270 Nm and a peak power at 120kW.

The COMET with 18 seating and 12 standing persons capacity will be tested on:
November 20-November 26 – Mines View Line
November 27-December 3 – Aurora Hill Line (CBD) Line

• Time of operation is from 08:00AM to 05:00PM
• Pick up and drop off points will only be at Harrison Road loading/unloading area near Ganza Parking entrance.
