The said activity was also synchronously joined via zoom by Police Regional Offices and provincial offices.

“Your promotion today defines success, and it is anchored with huge opportunity and motivation to further impart your ideals, wisdom, and vision. So, as you move up to the career ladder, it is important to remember that with greater authority comes greater accountability. And as future leaders of the PNP it is your duty to serve as role model to your fellow officers. A leader with integrity, professionalism, and respect for the law”, PGen Azurin said in his message.

PGen Azurin encouraged all promotees to continue to learn and actively be involved in promoting PNP’s best practices while building strong relationships with peers and the community.

Further, he underscored the relationship between the police and the community, that it should be one of mutual trust and respect working together for a safer and more just society for all.

He also reminded all newly promoted that as police officers their duty is not just to enforce the law, but also to build trust and good relationships with the community. Further, they are expected to treat every member of the public with dignity and respect, and work to bridge the gaps that may exist.

“Bilang inyong pinuno, inaasahan ko ang inyong kooperasyon sa ating ginagawang internal cleansing program upang tuluyang wakasan ang mga di kanais-nais na pagmamalabis ng ibang kasamahan natin sa serbisyo at iba pang maling gawain na labag sa batas at moralidad – lalong lalo na ang mga nasasangkot sa iligal na droga” PGen Azurin further added.

The regular promotion program of the PNP ensures streamlined rank structure of the entire 227,000 strong police officers in the organization based on the staffing pattern approved by the National Police Commission.
