3 Newly-paved Roads Aid Agri-communities in Nueva Ecija

The Department of Public Works and Highways has recently paved three (3) local roads that now benefit agricultural communities in the Municipalities of Bongabon, Gabaldon, and Llanera in Nueva Ecija.

DPWH Nueva Ecija Second DEO has also ensured safer and convenient travels in Barangay Tagumpay, Gabaldon by upgrading 1.98 lane kilometers of road that was prone to becoming muddy during rainy days.

Meanwhile, the DPWH Nueva Ecija First DEO has eased the transport of agricultural machineries to farmlands in Barangay Bosque, Llanera with the improvement works on a 1.7-lane-kilometer road in the area.

According to Secretary Bonoan, the newly-paved roads are seen to boost agricultural output in the towns by facilitating better accessibility and efficient transport of farm products to market centers both within and outside of Nueva Ecija.

The road concreting projects were completed in the amount of P27.3 million sourced from the Basic Infrastructure Program (BIP) under the General Appropriations Act (GAA) of 2022.
